Business and Training Programs
Agoke has several business opportunities that are in development for the benefit of the three First Nations. A new harvesting and heavy equipment training program just started In March 2019. The goal is to train community members to become certified to go off into the bush and be woodland operators. Certified woodland operators are in demand in the Ogoki Forest and in order to operate the big machines individuals need to be experienced or have the proper training. Agoke has also developed a First Nation policy to provide opportunities to community members who prove that they have the capacity to operate the machines and deliver wood to the Nakina sawmill.
